FAQ

How does The Pot work?

Choose your subscription — Family, Couple or Solo — and select your meals from our menu at checkout. We cook fresh every Saturday and deliver to your door every Sunday. Your fridge is full before the working week begins.

When do I choose my meals each week?

You choose your meals when you subscribe. Every week, you can update your selection anytime up to Thursday midnight — just log in to your account and change your choices before the cut-off. After midnight on Thursday, your order is locked in, and we begin ordering ingredients, so we can’t make changes after that point.

What if I miss the Thursday cut-off?

If you miss the cut-off, your previous week’s selection will be repeated automatically. To avoid this, just make sure any changes are in before midnight Thursday.

When do meals arrive?

Every Sunday. We deliver across South West London throughout the day. You’ll receive a message when we’re on our way, so you’re never left waiting.

Can I collect instead of having it delivered?

Yes — local collection is available every Sunday. You’ll receive a message when your order is ready to collect. Message us to confirm your nearest collection point.

How long do the meals keep?

All meals are blast-chilled within 90 minutes of cooking and supplied chilled with a 5-day use-by date from the day they are made. You’ll receive them on Sunday, and they are good until Friday.

Can I freeze the meals?

Yes — almost all of our dishes freeze brilliantly for up to 3 months. Defrost fully in the fridge overnight before reheating. The only dishes we’d recommend eating fresh are Ackee & Saltfish and any pasta dishes, which can lose texture after freezing.

Is the meat halal?

Yes. All meat used at The Pot is halal-sourced without exception. The only dish that doesn’t apply to is our BBQ Pulled Pork, which is clearly labelled as non-halal and is the only pork dish on our menu.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Every dish on our menu is clearly labelled with all 14 major allergens. We have a strong selection of gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and plant-based dishes. Please contact us directly before ordering if you have a severe allergy, and we will advise you personally.

Can I pause or cancel my subscription?

Absolutely — no questions asked. You can pause, skip a week or cancel anytime through your account or by messaging us directly. We never lock you in.

What areas do you deliver to?

We currently deliver across South West London. Message us with your postcode, and we’ll confirm whether we cover your area. We’re growing our delivery zone as we grow — so if we don’t reach you yet, we will soon.

How do I reheat the meals?

Every meal comes with reheating instructions on the label. Most dishes reheat in the microwave in 5-7 minutes or in the oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes. Always ensure food is piping hot throughout before serving.

What’s the difference between the subscription tiers?

The Family subscription gives you 7 meals per week, the Couple subscription gives you 6 meals per week for two, and the Solo subscription gives you 5 meals per week for one person. All tiers include the full menu to choose from and the same Sunday delivery.

Can I buy individual meals without subscribing?

Yes — every dish on our menu is available to buy individually if you’re not ready to commit to a weekly subscription. It’s a great way to try the food first. Use the code TRYTHEPOT for 10% off your first individual order.

I have a question that isn’t answered here — how do I get in touch?
